First Aid For Golf Clubs & Greenkeepers

basic first aid

First Aid for Golf Clubs and Greenkeepers has been specifically designed to meet the needs of Golf Professionals, Club Members, Club Staff and Greenkeepers alike. All our courses are specific to your club to ensure participants receive the most applicable training.

No matter how safe your golf clubs and greenkeeping facilities are or how well the risks are managed, accidents can still happen. Members, employees and visitors may be injured or taken ill while in the Club or on your course. Arrangements must be in place to give them some basic level of first-aid assistance as soon as possible until medical help arrives.

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 put a legal duty on employers to make adequate first-aid provisions for their employees. Our courses cover all your HSE legal requirements and focuses on your needs within your facility.

There are currently 5 levels of basic first aid training:

  • Emergency First Aid at Work – 1 Day course which replaces the “AppoGolf and greenskeepers basic first aidinted Person” course.
  • AED Training – This course covers the essentials on how to use and maintain your AED.
  • First Aid at Work – 3 Day course which covers more serious problems plus AED Training.
  • First Aid at Work Requalification – Before your certificate runs out, you can requalified with a shortened 2 day course. You must complete this course within 28 days of your original certificate’s expiry date.
  • Annual Refresher – The HSE strongly recommends that you attend a refresher session once every year. This three-hour refresher course provides first aiders with an opportunity to practise and update their first aid skills and knowledge.
