First Aid At Work

The aim of the Level 3 Day First Aid at Work course is to ensure you understand the importance of safe, prompt and effective treatment of injuries and ill health in the workplace. This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience, for example, clerical, schools, offices, construction or engineering staff. The first aid at work course is suitable for all companies, particularly those with a large number of employees or businesses working in a high-risk environment. 

What’s more, as a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks.

1 Day or 2 Day Paediatric First Aid

The Level 2/3 Paediatric First Aid Course is for professionals whose occupation involves the care of infants and/or children. The course teaches you how to provide emergency care and first aid for children of all ages and infants of less than a year old. It meets the requirements of Ofsted, registered childminders and the requirements for nannies under the Approved Carers Scheme.

In order to comply with Ofsted requirements the length of the course is 6 or 12 hours (this can be run over 1 or 2 days). This course can be in-house for up to 12 delegates or individuals can attend our open courses.

Emergency First Aid At Work

The aim of this Level 3 qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of the first aider.

The course consists of 6 hours contact teaching time. Usually run over one 6-hour session although this is flexible to suit your needs. A maximum of 12 learners are allowed and must be aged a minimum of 16 years or above. Larger groups can be catered for.

Annual Refresher

Did you know that the HSE guidelines state that employers should ensure their first aiders remain competent to perform their role? As such, it is strongly recommended that first aiders undertake annual refresher training to practise their skills and update their knowledge on the latest first aid procedures.

The Level 3 Annual Refresher qualification is specifically designed to allow qualified first aiders to update their first aid skills yearly, until requalification training is required. 

Successful candidates will leave with a renewed confidence, having had the opportunity to practise essential first aid procedures, as well as learn the latest techniques needed to deal with an emergency situation.

With all subjects covered in just 3 hours, this course is an ideal way to satisfy HSE requirements whilst minimising disruption to your organisation’s day to day activities!

AED & CPR

The Level 2 CPR & AED course is suitable of all companies, small business, shopping and leisure centres who have a AED machine on their premises as well as anyone interested in furthering their emergency first aid skills. The course teaches the AED operator the essential skills required to know what to do in an emergency.

The qualification is designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide First Aid and/or use an AED when dealing with an emergency situation.

School First Aid Courses

Our First Aid for Schools Levels 2 & 3 courses have been designed specifically for those working in a school setting and covers all of the first aid emergencies that most frequently occur within a school setting. It meets all requirements for OFSTED / EYFE and we cover AED Training for FREE.

This course is suitable for people aged 16+ who work in a school environment and wish to have the first aid skills to be able to act in an emergency. It is ideal for teachers and other school staff.

We offer practical, fun and interactive first aid training, flexible enough to fit around the needs of a busy school day. Our courses meet National Curriculum requirements for Science, PSHE/Citizenship and PE.

All our courses are specific to your club to ensure participants receive the most applicable training.  No matter how safe your golf clubs and greenkeeping facilities are or how well the risks are managed, accidents can still happen. 

Members, employees and visitors may be injured or taken ill while in the Club or on your course. Arrangements must be in place to give them some basic level of first-aid assistance as soon as possible until medical help arrives.

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 put a legal duty on employers to make adequate first-aid provisions for their employees. Our courses cover all your HSE legal requirements and focuses on your needs within your facility.

Dental Practices

This course covers medical emergencies, basic life support skills and includes skills for adults, children and infants for dentists and people working in dental practices. The course includes safety, precautions, initial assessment, recovery position, CPR, compression-only CPR, CPR handover, choking and the use of an AED.
